Secondary School Transfer
During their last year at Bartons, the Year 6 children are well prepared for their transition to secondary school the following year. Over the year, representatives from the local secondary schools visit the children at Bartons to support this transition.
In the autumn term of each school year, Year 6 parents have to apply for a place at their preferred secondary school. For a place in Year 7 in September, parents have until 31st October to apply for a school place.
At Bartons, children transfer to a variety of local secondary schools. These are mainly The Regis School and Felpham Community College in Bognor and Felpham. Some children also transfer to Chichester Free School, Ormiston Six Villages Academy, Chichester High School, Philip Howard and Bishop Luffa School.
