At Bartons Primary School, Wellbeing Club happens once a week for those that have signed up each term.
We start our sessions by choosing a positive affirmation card to discuss and focus on for the following week such as 'I am unique' or 'I can make a difference'.
Following this, we complete an activity to support our wellbeing. Some examples of these activities are as follows;
- Yoga
- Nature walks
- Making wellbeing stones
- Gratitude paperchains
- Calming techniques
- Library sessions
- Supporting other people's wellbeing
- Making our 'happy place' out of construction such as Lego or Playdoh
- Discussing what/who makes us happy
- Writing letters to ourselves
- Spending time outside
- Exercising
- Painting and colouring
"I love this club because it's all about positive things."
"My favourite thing we have done is decorating the stones because other people can read them and it hopefully makes them smile too."
